About GHT

With Green Hydrogen Technology for green change on the ground.

We are a technology provider offering an alternative process for the economic production of green hydrogen that relies on existing local infrastructure. Our technology uses municipal waste as a low-cost feedstock for on-site industrial production of the climate-friendly energy source.

With our production plants, operators can generate green hydrogen at low cost – for their own use or for economic sale. At the same time, the technology contributes to solving existing and future waste disposal challenges.

Robert Nave

Robert Nave is an experienced energy expert. In his previous positions, he advised companies on green transformation processes and decarbonization programs.

He focused on strategies for the energy transition and the future supply of hydrogen.

Harald Mayer is an experienced multi-entrepreneur and investor.

With over 30 years of start-up experience, he leads the start-up and is convinced of the innovative power and future strength of GHT.

Development of the technology

Innovative technologies such as the sewage sludge burner and the hot-gas reactor are the results of years of development work by Alfred Edlinger. The Austrian has developed over 600 patents. GHT has already acquired several of these patents for the incineration of sewage sludge and phosphate recovery, as well as the generation of hydrogen from waste.

Certification of the feasibility study

The production process for processing hydrogen from wood waste has been tested by TÜV Süd. The process thus meets the requirements for certification.


Commissioning of the pilot plant

First industrial-scale test runs are carried out in Leoben (Austria).
