Innovative technologies such as the sewage sludge burner and the hot-gas reactor are the results of years of development work by Alfred Edlinger. The Austrian has developed over 600 patents.

GHT has already acquired several of these patents for the incineration of sewage sludge and phosphate recovery, as well as the generation of hydrogen from waste.
